If you have a good health and safety record chances are that your business will have strong safety systems in place to manage risks, however some clients struggle to produce the evidence to support this. The CHAS website states that one of the main reasons for failed application is through 'off the shelf' documentation that is not relevant to the company being assessed. Documents alone will not get you through the CHAS assessment, you need to show evidence that the documents are used and followed on site.

You will be assessed annually to maintain your CHAS accreditation, but with the support and guidance provided by us in the first year, many clients feel confident enough to proceed with the assessment without outside help, or with minimal guidance the following year. If you do require our help in the second year or beyond, you will benefit from reduced rates.
