You may find the CHAS application daunting if it's your first attempt at gaining health and safety accreditation. Our construction health and safety specialists have experience of helping numerous clients through the assessment process to achieving CHAS success.
If you have a good health and safety record chances are that your business will have strong safety systems in place to manage risks, however some clients struggle to produce the evidence to support this. We can provide you with the document templates to formally record your evidence to present to the assessor.
We have created a FREE CHAS application guidance report, to help small contractors through the CHAS assessment process:

If you require additional documentation to support your application our construction health and safety specialists have developed hundreds of health and safety document templates for construction activities, which you can adapt for your business.
The CHAS website states that one of the main reasons for failed application is through 'off the shelf' documentation that is not relevant to the company being assessed. Documents alone will not get you through the CHAS assessment, you need to show evidence that the documents are used and followed on site.
All of our templates can be adapted to your business, and the CHAS guidance we supply will explain how to get the evidence you need to show that your health and safety systems are in place.
You will be assessed annually to maintain your CHAS accreditation, but with the support and guidance provided by us in the first year, many clients feel confident enough to proceed with the assessment without outside help, or with minimal guidance the following year.
